Maryland
Maryland is home to one-fifth of the Mid-Atlantic
Region's school enrollment and falls in the middle of the region's
five states: larger than DC and Delaware, but smaller than New Jersey
and Pennsylvania. Maryland's districts correspond to each of the
state's counties, with the exception of Baltimore City and Edison
Schools. It has 24 school districts, serving an ethnically diverse
student population, with minority students approaching a majority.
