Assistance Providers for High Schools
A central location for technical assistance resources on high schools
can be found at the National
High School Center (which is one of the 5 Content
Comprehensive Centers.) This center identifies effective programs
and tools, offers user-friendly products and provides high-quality
technical assistance to support the use of research-based approaches
within high school learning communities.

National
Dropout Prevention Center for Students with Disabilities (NDPC-SD)
Supports the national implementation of provisions of the Individuals
with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to provide successful school
outcomes for students with disabilities. NDPC-SD supports states
in assisting local education agencies to increase school completion
rates and decrease dropout rates among students with disabilities.

National
Center on Secondary Education and Transtion (NCSET):
Provides support to states in program improvement and secondary
transition for youth with disabilities
National
Postschool Outcomes Center (PSO):
States now need to collect and use data on postsecondary education
and employment status of youth with disabilities. While some states
have such systems in place, others do not and are seeking guidance
on how to collect those data, as well as how to analyze, and use
them to improve programs and outcomes. This center provides support
to states in their efforts on data collection on indicators of school
and post school performance of youth with disabilities
Smaller
Learning Communities (SLC)
Southwest Educational Development Laboratory (SEDL) program that
awards funding to school districts to implement strategies that
encourage more individualized instruction and counseling for high
school students, improve student achievement, and prepare students
for college and careers
